Watch Complete Video Hello, my name is Christina Malone, and I'm a Musical Astrologer. What that means is I love to write songs, and I also love to share my viewpoint of the world through the stars, and this show is called "It's In The Stars," -- so I'm going to start with some music that I wrote, and one of them is called "Traveling Light" -- it's a song I wrote about our being, that we are beings of light, and we can travel light through this world. Complete Song "Travelin Light" on You Tube. www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0TpTKSzm-s So, my primary reason for this particular You Tube video, wherever you're seeing it, is to allow you to experience Astrology in a different way, and I'm going to be focusing on particular things, when they are significant. And one of the most significant things that's happening right now is the Full Moon in Cancer, today, January 12, 2017, and it was actually Full, when the Sun in Capricorn was exactly opposite of the Full Moon, and that was at 6:34 AM Eastern Time, So if you're feeling kind of crazy, the Full Moon has an impact on us, because the Moon rules our emotions, and it has to do with the water inside our body, just like the Moon in the sky controls the tides, the Moon in the sky also controls and affects our emotions and our feelings. So, on a Full Moon -- and many people back this up, who work in prisons, and institutions where there might be more lunacy, -- Lunacy or lunatics comes from the word Luna (Moon), and it usually is something which people observe when they work in those places -- there's more activity, more energy, more emotions on a Full Moon. Even policemen sometimes describe that, during Full Moons, there's more chaos. So, this is the first Full Moon of the year 2017, and I think it's significant, because it is a primal Full Moon -- it is dealing with the Full Moon in Cancer. When the Moon is in Cancer -- a Full Moon is when the Sun is in the opposite sign, which is in Capricorn -- and what the Moon in Cancer represents -- the Moon already rules the emotions in Astrology, and the Moon rules Cancer, and so Cancer is the most emotional sign in Astrology. And, it is a water sign, so it's very much connected to the fluids in our body, and the emotions that go with that. This particular Primal Full Moon is considered Primal because it is dealing with the opposition between Capricorn and Cancer, and if we look on this chart, Cancer rules the 4th house, which is the home in the chart. Everyone's chart has a fourth house, and everyone's chart has 12 houses, so the fourth house is very significant, because it relates to the past, and where we come from our childhood, and our home, what we consider our home -- whether it's an emotional home, or where we live, so that's the 4th House, and it's a very primal house -- it's the past, and where we come from, and it relates to the Mother, and then the 10th House is Capricorn's House, where the Sun is right now -- the Sun is in Capricorn, and the Moon is in Cancer, and they look like this -- I have little diagrams to show you -- so the Moon is in the sign of Cancer, that's what the sign of Cancer looks like -- and let me see if you can see the Moon better, and I did my little of graphics a long time ago, and I love using them. Then, the Sun is in the sign of Capricorn, so this is a symbol for the Sun, and this is the symbol for Capricorn. And when the Sun is opposite the Moon, exactly opposite, that's what causes a Full Moon. And a Full Moon is what brings to Full Light the expression of what that sign is that the Full Moon is in. So again the Full Moon at this time on January 12, 2017, is about home, emotions, the Mother, going back to the past, and the opposite sign of Capricorn, is the Father. So we call this "Primal" because it's the "Mother/Father Axis" -- Capricorn deals with Authority figures, and specifically the Father, and it is ruled by Saturn, which represents the Father, the Authority figure in our lives, and it has to do with the 10th House, where Capricorn sits in the Zodiac. It is related to the career, the workplace, where we choose to develop ourselves, and also it is related to corporations, Wall Street, business, as well as governments, nations, and the military. So what we're seeing in this opposition of the Home verses the Business, or the Mother verses the Father figure, is what I call a Primal Axis, the Mother/Father Axis. Now, you may not know this, but the United States was born on the Fourth of July, 1776, which means the United States is a nation that was born in the Sign of Cancer -- so we are Cancer Nation, with a lot of emotions, and a lot of attachments to our structures, and our borders, and the idea that a Cancer is like a crab, that carries its home on its back, and it's very protectionistic, (if that is a word!), and wants to have security, it wants to have very strong boundaries, and protect its boundaries. And so the Cancer Nation of the United States behaves a lot like that, but we also act like a Mother by trying to take care of the rest of the world, that's kind of our our signature, that we have done a lot to help other people around the world, and that's the nature of Cancer, also, being a Mother. Now Capricorn rules governments and authority figures and business, and corporations, and buildings, and structures, and so it's more detached -- it's not as emotional, and that's what a Father is, usually more detached it's about, "Just do the right thing" or "Stay with tradition" -- that's what Capricorn loves, tradition, and let's focus on being business-like, and not very emotional. So there's an opposition between the emotions and detachment, and now, with the election basically ending with the Inauguration happening in a couple of weeks of our new president, there's a lot of emotions coming up about that, with the the presentation of what people in the United States are feeling about what's going to happen, and how are we going to define ourselves, how are we going to change, and are we going to fight the status quo, or are we going to change the status quo and there's a lot that came out in the election that was very emotional. And the country is very divided, so this division is kind of reflected in that Emotion (Cancer) vs Detachment (Capricorn), and that Mother versus Father, and the coming from the past and being attached to the past, and then going into the future, and seeing whether we can be open to what the changes are going to be? Capricorn also has to do with the Earth plane, the physical Earth plane, so this particular dynamic of the Capricorn / Cancer Full Moon is looking at all the things that we do to our planet, and how are we taking care of our planet? Recently in the news, I saw that there was this huge ice shelf that's going to break off from Antarctica any day now, and it's about the size of Rhode Island, so that's definitely an expression of the Capricorn energy shifting right now -- as Pluto, the planet Pluto has been going through the sign of Capricorn since 2008, and many many physical changes are happening on the Earth as a result of that, and Pluto is very close to the Sun now - I mean, Pluto in Capricorn and the Sun in Capricorn, so this opposition of the Moon is more energized by the fact that Pluto is involved. Pluto is a planet that usually takes two hundred forty years to go around the Sun, so the last time Pluto was in Capricorn was -- guess what? -- when the United States was born, and so we call this a "Pluto Return". It's going to be very powerful for the United States -- the United States already has gone through immense changes since 2008, when Pluto went into Capricorn, but it will be there in Capricorn until 2023, so go figure, we might have a lot more changes coming, and that might include borders and boundaries and building walls between nations, and getting more protectionistic, and also changing all the different structures that we're used to, all the traditions we're used to, because Pluto usually kind of rips apart everything to do with that sign, (which is Capricorn) and tears it down, and then builds it up again. So it's not a completely bad thing, but it's part of our process. If you look out through the ages, when Pluto goes through a sign, that usually really does a lot of transformation, almost like the Phoenix out of the ashes, and we go through major shifts in different areas of human life, such as diseases usually start off with being overwhelming at the beginning of Pluto in that sign, and then the cure for that disease usually comes at the end of Pluto in that sign, so lots of things can happen when Pluto goes through a sign, but the Primal thing is that it is a transformation and it's a transmutation -- it's just like an Atomic Energy Plant -- that's what Pluto represents, because it's the same as the word Plutonium -- that's where we get the word Plutonium from -- so I really believe in the power of Pluto to transform a particular area of life, as it goes through a particular sign, and I've witnessed this for many many years, and so Pluto going through Capricorn is going to bring a big shift in earth changes, government changes, nation changes, and humanity is going to be really shifting a lot in the way it deals with the what it means to be a human being. And so I think that's why we're seeing a lot more entrepreneurship, a lot more people developing their own little niche groups, and meetup groups, and different things like that, so that's a lot I didn't expect to say, but basically the Full Moon in Cancer, opposite the Sun in Capricorn, connected to Pluto in Capricorn, is what I want you to focus on for the next two weeks. Usually a Full Moon has kind of an effect on us for at least two weeks -- even though the Full Moon will be over within a day or two -- the effect of the Full Moon lasts for two weeks until the New Moon, and the Full Moon going to a New Moon is like a deflating balloon, so you can sometimes feel very tired. So what I recommend for this Full Moon in Cancer, because Cancer is related to water, is spend time near water, or take hot baths, or drink lots of water, because we need to be hydrated, especially in the Winter time, the time of Capricorn, which is the Winter, -- Capricorn rules the Winter Solstice, Cancer rules the Summer Solstice -- so this is also an opposition between the winter and summer, the heat and the cold, and so it's a lot of different oppositions. Capricorn is Earth and Cancer is Water, so the kind of combination of those two oppositions. But primarily what I hope you'll do is love yourself, and nurture yourself, and eat good foods, because Cancer rules the stomach. And be careful with what you put in your body, take a lot of time for rest, because as the Full Moon of Cancer goes down to the New Moon, it will be a time of deflating energy, especially in the Wintertime, it's best to get more rest, to spend time in your home, that's what Cancer loves, is to feel comfortable in your home, with lots of warm blankets, and warm clothes, and keep your home comfortable, and that's pretty much all I have to say about the Full Moon in Cancer. I hope if you enjoy this blog / YouTube video, wherever I'm going to be putting it, you will enjoy it, and get something out of it, and if you want to know more about your personal chart, you can go to my website, which is www.christinamalone.com, and it has all my services on there -- my readings, my books, my CDs -- because I do sell CDs as well, and as we go out from here, I'm going to play another song from my "Travelin' Light" album, which is called "Spinning Through The Universe" and hopefully get that to work.
